ASA World promotes standardization and uniformity in training and assessment quality and has developed the ASA World Training Accreditation Programme (ATAP) to support ground handling organisations demonstrate their conformity with global training standards.

The ATAP programme provides a method for ground handling organisations to have their training programmes assessed and accredited to confirm compliance with the IATA AHM Chapter 1100 requirements.
 Recognition as an ATAP Accredited Training Organisation provides international acknowledgment for compliance with the IATA AHM Chapter 1100 requirements for training management and training programmes in critical operational areas.

One advantage of the programme is that when training is delivered by an ATAP accredited organisation, retraining is not required if an employee moves to another ATAP accredited organisation, therefore reducing onboarding time.
